"The Hotel is an old manor house with a number of out building locations on the bank of the river Tay. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient, the food excellent. Some of the rooms were a little tired but now under new ownership there is an extensive refurbishment programme underway. The location with it's riverside walks is stunning. It is also greatly enhanced by the gardens surrounding the main house. My wife (an enthusiastic gardener) had some wonderful discussions with the gardener, Gordon who has been responsible for the design and planting of the beds over the last 9 years. HE is a great asset to the hotel, very skillful and extremely helpful when discussing plants. I don't think we can praise the hotel sufficiently. it offers excellent value for money and is an ideal base to explore the beautiful Perthshire countryside. "

"We had a very comfortable one night stay at The Woodside. The staff were friendly and efficient and the service was done with a smile. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. The room was clean and tidy with a comfortable bed. The hotel is in a good location and we were able to walk into town and down to the castle in no time at all. We will definitely return for another stay."
