"My partner and I enjoyed our stay in Pontevès. The village is very small but provided you have a car (which is a must!), you can get to everything very quickly. The area has many activities to offer and even +7 days was not enough time for us! Josette and Patrick were lovely. "A great stay. Would recommend a visit to the local vinyard where there is wine tasting and also a hike through the vines and surrounding hills. A trip to the Gorges du Verdon is also a must with the option booking an electric boat for a couple of hours. For a shopping trip, CAP3000 in Nice is worthwhile with over 100 shops and restaurants. Lovely pool with lots of different areas of the garden to enjoy. Very well equipped with all you will need. Tourtour is a 15 minute walk away. "We are tennis fanatics so it was lovely to have a private court in good condition in the grounds. Played every day. Nice pool to cool off. Villa was spotless and spacious and all the appliances worked. Be aware that towels are not provided. Dealing with Vrbo was not easy. We needed to talk to them about a French legal requirement for liability insurance and the only contact number I could find was a USA premium rate line. Cost me £35 for a 7 minute conversation and they failed to call me back...

What let us down was poor communication on facilities of the site , the fact that campsite on which chalet is has changed names( so difficult to locate) and specifically that reception at site was not aware of our booking. Thankfully we arrived shortly before they closed for the day and we were able to demonstrate we had been in email exchange with owner.worrying what would have happened if we had arrived later!"
