"We stayed 5 nights at Tenuta Olive Alive and loved it! We used Noto as a bounce off point to visit several towns in the area (Siracusa-Ortigia, Modica, Ragusa Ibla etc). A short drive into Noto itself. Fantastic accom, took advantage of the rain outdoor spaces for some meals, made good use of the pool. Our host, Italo was very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. He cooked for us one night - which was sensational. We are a family of four, incl two younger children. They loved the loft style...

"This is a stunningly beautiful property set in many acres of land, an estate planted with olive and almond trees together with vineyards. A series of one story buildings in the estate house the rooms/suites. A central building (pictured) houses the reception, a dining room and an area by the pool. Separately in the grounds there’s a lovely al fresco dining area for evenings. It’s situated in the countryside and is about a 20 minute drive to the city of Noto. "

"Nice base to explore Donnafugata, local beaches and southern Sicily more generally. Be aware that you may need to use local restaurants in the evening (five minute drive). Went here on honeymoon and would happily return."

"New, immaculately well kept and operated. This was one of nearly a half dozen properties that I stayed at throughout Sicily, and it is beautiful. I was upgraded for a small charge to the Superior Room which has direct access to the back yard and is slightly larger than the standard room. The owners are hard working and look after every need. "Amazing hosts, amazing stay! One of the most memorable accommodations during our 2-week trip to Sicily. Rosario, Adriana and Vincenzo work hard to have you experience the finest flavours of Sicily. "Fantastic stay at La Mela Di Venere!! The hosts are fabulous and we’re accommodating for our daughter who is celiac. The location is beautiful, rooms were great and the food was delicious! "

Each evening meal was delicious, and no dish was repeated during our 3 night stay. From the appetizers to the limoncello, all was wonderful. Everything was served with a friendly smile and explanation. One of us is vegetarian and they happily accommodated. Here you will find a working farm with friendly service, clean accommodations and a wonderful atmosphere."

"There's not a lot of hotels in Caltagirone to choose from. Even so, this one is worth a night or two if you are going to the town itself or even Villa Romana. The rooms are clean, comfortable and bathrooms seem well maintained. Best reason to go though is the outstanding dinner and wine from the owners vineyard. Overall a nice experience."

"I can imagine that this 'hotel' would be pleasant enough in the summer but definitely isn't worth staying for more than 1 or 2 nights in October. It was so far off track that we very nearly didn't bother. The room was nice enough, very rustic in the old cattle shed, the breakfast was basic but adequate and once we knew where it was it was a good base for the surrounding towns."

"This hotel is what made our stay in Ragus Ibla so wonderful. Laura is amazing with all that she does! The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with so many homemade options. The location was great since you're already in the old town (Ibla) and can easily walk from the hotel to the duomo and cafes. We will definitely stay there again!"

"Great surprise! Wonderful hotel built on original historic architecture in the center of town. We arrived late but were greeted so well by Michel. He was very helpful as were the other staff at the front desk. Highly recommended. Can't wait to go back! Oh yes, and lovely breakfast space."

"This hotel is perched above the town and has a beautiful garden filled with fruit trees, and views of the duomo, town and valley. It's a lovely, quiet place and it even has parking about 5 minutes up the hill, which is impossible to find in Ragusa Ibla. The staff are very gracious, and the breakfast was delicious. The room was so quiet, and the bed was very comfortable with a mattress topper. We highly recommend it. "

"The staff was so wonderful and warm to (Jaime Melo and Sal and Nonno Baglieri) special gratitude to Ritonela Federico and Biagio. They helped beyond expectation to all our needs. Changing of room was done immediately and smoothly. We all felt so welcomed and would promote this great Family resort to everyone who appreciates peace and quiet and amazing staff. Breakfast was an abundance of great fresh food and baked goods, all that one would expect and some. Us Canadians are so grateful. Thank you fresh"
