"Location, accommodation, and host were 5 star. When we arrived, Antonella had pasta, sauce and fresh homebaked bread for us. The view from the property was amazing, the beds were incredibly comfortable and everything was very clean. One thing that is probably a "lost in translation" is a reference to a hot tub/jacuzzi. We did not see one, but it did have a tub in one of the bathrooms (which we used). Overall, a dream escape in Tuscany!"

"What an amazing place! Volpaia is a unique venue, in a beautiful setting and it was a joy to stay there. Our room was lovely- comfortable, clean and with a stunning view- even from the loo! "Podere Castallare is in a beautiful location. Unfortunately we did not have a relaxing stay. Music was played at full volume directly into our bedroom from the bar from around 4pm - 11pm every day. It was so loud we could not spend time in our room. The air conditioner was broken and not fixed. We were treated rudley at dinner by the manager, which added to the tension in the atmosphere."
