"What should have been a perfect week, turned into a disaster with a contaminated pool, which the owner had known about but didn't warn us and a dirty house. Both issues were flagged up to both the owner and VRBO at the time, but 2 months later, we are still waiting for even a gesture of compensation. The property promised so much and could have been wonderful, but with the owner abroad, things had obviously slipped, including the gardens which were overgrown and scruffy. The area is wonderful...

There is always something that isn’t perfect for everyone but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. One of the best experiences was the ability to take the cayak and paddle down the river for about a mile to reach the beach "
