"Beautiful property in an idyllic Tuscan setting. Our three-generation family group relaxed together and had fun. We spent a lot of time in and around the lovely pool, enjoying the beautiful setting. The house is very comfortable and the kitchen thoughtfully equipped. Our hosts were kind and helpful. We enjoyed the Pizza evening and dinner provided by them."

"The property did not live up to its advertisement and was not as described. We were highly disappointed when we moved in. All the food went off overnight because their unfit-for-purpose fridge was at 18C. It was a health and safety risk and a potentially life-threatening situation if we ate from it. The kitchen had ants, the beds were unmade, and the oven wouldn't start. When I asked for bed linen, Ailsa, the owner, refused, saying she was busy entertaining guests at her house, so we couldn't...

"It's a long drive up winding hills, but once you arrive in Sassi, you can forget about all your worries, sit back and relax. The main farmhouse and the cottage are both well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The pool was a godsend on especially hot days, especially for the children, who spent hours playing Marco Polo and other water games well into the evening. Our host was extremely helpful and was a walking encyclopedia of information about the surrounding areas, too....
