"Very clean, spacious. Has basics but missing some useful items like cloths for dishes/cleaning.Seating and eating furniture is not the most comfortable. All other furniture was minimal, but good.Great for a short stay. Good communication from host."

"When we arrived outside the property we were unsure how to gain entry we didn’t realise it was a separate part of Tim’s house. We then ran the bell and he showed us to the property at the side of his property. Unfortunately there was a widespread power cut when we were there but Tim was able to reassure us it was over a large area and due back on in 3 hours. Property was presented in a very clean condition with good facilities including a washing machine and clothes horse."

"This place is special and would highly recommend if you are looking for the same things we were. Great base for family holiday with our teens, magic location with kayaking right on the lake, walk to the chippie, rotorua central attractions a couple of mins drive away. Kids had their own space and joint space great too. This is not super modern but is priced really reasonably and the host family are super lovely people and still left us with a nice separate space to do our thing. "

"We stayed at this VRBO for one night while traveling from Auckland to Taupo. Excellent communication with the host. The apartment was spotlessly clean, and they even left us fresh milk and a vase of flowers. I wish we had more time to stay!"

"This is a lovely property in a nice, quiet neighborhood. It is clean and well appointed. Lake Okareka is less than a 5-minute walk and has a wonderful walking path around the lake. The host was great to communicate with. Air conditioning is listed as an amenity, but there is actually no air conditioning. We slept with the doors and windows open, so it was not an issue. There are so many things to do and see in the area! It takes about 15 minutes to drive to the center of Rotorua from this...

"This is a great area down by the lake, very peaceful. The boathouse has everything you'd need and is super comfy. Sarah is friendly and instantly responsive to any questions. 100% would stay again. Very pleasant."

"The studio apartment was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The gift of wine and snacks was really thoughtful and the breakfast cereal was much appreciated. Our host was easy to communicate with and the outside garden was lovely to sit in. I did have concerns around the height of the shower over the bath, so I practiced getting in and out (fully clothed to make sure it was doable) and it was fine- just make sure the rubber backed mat is on the floor and not the other one that slides on...

"Fantastic property, perfectly positioned with easy access to the Mt Bike park. Friendly hosts. Even tho the apartment it attached to the hosts house, it was very quite and private. Perfect place for our Mt Biking long weekend! Easy walk to the shops. "

"Room was nice and hotel is in the center of the shopping area and close to Rotorua attractions. Fine dining is extremely limited despite the multitude of little ethnic restaurants. Four blocks from Eat Street, which is very touristy and not high quality. Overall a good place to stay if you want to explore the Rotorua area."

"This place provides all you need for any duration stay. The lodging is spacious, there is a wonderful 2-person private hot-tub on the patio, and a fully provisioned kitchen. It is also centrally located for all events in/around Rotorua. And we really appreciated the tea/coffee being replenished daily. I would highly recommend staying here."
