"A bit of mix reviews here, I’m 1.8m tall so I got hit by the low ceiling wooden plank a few times due to my height. They got no room service, the nearest restaurant doesn’t offer takeaway, the hotel in house restaurant was fully booked. so options were very limited. Room was very big and spacious, my kids love the living room. "

"We did not opt for the meal package so it’s possible we missed out on an amazing experience there but we did not miss out on the top level experience of the Kitanoya. Full Japanese ryokan room with the most luxurious 2 person open air granite ofuro I have ever seen let alone enjoyed with a delightful garden beyond. "We had a great stay at this hotel. Our room request was fulfilled. Good location, quiet, and the staff (from the cleaners to the manager) were both helpful and courteous. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Shout out to Lakshita who has been quite kind and helpful during our stay. "

"really good facility, close to the water front which i love and in between several areas of interest that you can walk to. The showers and baths were an added bonus as we didnt know that it would include the hot bath, really good to come back to that after a long day. Staff was super friendly and there was a music venue right next door, although we had other things we wanted to do so we weren't able to go. "Monjusou was a fantastic place to stay in Amanohashidate. It is close to the station, less than 5 minutes walk, and very close to all of the great sites to visit. The staff was excellent and treated us very well, and were helpful and friendly. The restaurant was amazing too."

"This is a hidden gem in my opinion. Location was super convenient, right next to the river and Amanohashidate sandbar. Very cleans and well maintained room, even has a massage chair in the room. And you may assign to have room in 2nd floor which you need to take your luggage up by steps. That means it is not suitable for travelers with big luggage. "
