"This is a perfect location for getting within a few minutes drive to some beautiful hiking trails on the eastern edge of Shenandoah National Park. Everything about the property was accurately described. The setting was so peaceful and quiet. The only reason I knocked 1 star off was because the property is 100% cut off (as is the entire area) of any cell service. The house has no wifi and you can't get cell signal so you are 100% off-grid. Nowadays, I don't really focus on that when renting...

"We were in the area for only a short weekend for a family wedding at the nearby Market at Grelen. The cabin and its setting are amazing. We enjoyed spending time there on the porch and the surrounding land Saturday morning just taking in the quiet and beauty. We wish we’d had more time. The property is located in a great area to take days trips to several attractions or just enjoy, as we did, the property itself. "We loved the great-room just off the dining/kitchen area, as well as the boat dock for lounging and kayaking. Used the patio for grilling and campfire with s'mores. The location at the north end of the lake is a convenient launching point for area attractions. Couldn't really use the spare sitting room as a bedroom, but fortunately we didn't need it. Had a few minor issues, but the owner/host was very responsive. "

It was just as nice spending time in the cabin as it was hiking in Shenandoah and exploring nearby Orange. The entire weekend was such a nice escape from the city.
