"We enjoyed our stay at CBR boutique hotel. The room was beautifully decorated on a book theme, even in the toilet and shower stall. Kudos to the cleaning staff as everywhere was spotless, especially with all the nooks and crannys present in the stone carved books. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the room very quiet at night, especially considering we were overlooking the suare. Marc on reception was very helpful and courteous. Unloading luggage was a challenge as we missed the small area we could park the car to unload, with construction going on in the street. So we carried on to the free carpark, directly across the bridge from the hotel, about a 5 minute walk. We were not crazy about the open bathroom with glass doors on the toilet. May feel awkward if sharing with friends. The hotel is in a great location, close to all areas of interest and we would definitely recommend it for a stay in Coimbra."

"Loved the hotel it was very easy to find we paid extra for a canal view which was lovely. Tea and coffee and biscuits in the room all welcome. Toiletries in the bathroom were very nice and a big bath towel! There wasn't a huge amount for breakfast but was more than enough to fill your plate over and over. The coffee was delicious! Parking isn't on site but you can drop your bags at the door and the car park isn't far to walk- we paid €8 with a card from reception. The staff were lovely. Would highly recommend."

"Our 1 night stay was excellent. Reception staff were very accommodating and helpful. Room was very spatious, clean with a lovely comfortable bed. We enjoyed the swimming pool/turkish bath and gym. The spa treatment of an hours massage was the best I've ever had. Would definitely recommend."
