"This property is not beachfront, it is a little bit of a beach view. Most important, property is up on a hill with lots of stairs inside and outside the hotel. There are no elevators. You have to preorder your food."

"If you don't enjoy city life and want to immerse yourself in the beauty of nature, this place is perfect. Although it's a bit far from the beach, they do provide transportation. The ambiance is soul-soothing, with a pleasant morning breeze, stunning views, and a peaceful atmosphere. You'll enjoy the perfect sight of mountain hills on one side and the sea on the other. The service was excellent; they even helped us book a ferry home due to a typhoon and allowed us to check out a little later...

"I would first like to thank the wonderful staff at Montina, friendly, pleasant, helpful every one of them. The facilities were good, nothing fancy especially if one is used to Western standards but very comfortable, very clean, everything one would need including excellent A/C, comfy bed, very nice big, spacious shower, good lighting, nice, cold mini fridge, free drinking water and that was in a "budget room." Good restaurant with plenty of choices, ice cold beer at the open air...

"One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. 5 levels elevator broken. My wife in disabled and it was extremely difficult for her to go up and down 5 flights of stairs. Asked for ground level room, they said too bad. Padlocks instead if door keys. Sheets had holes in them. Bathtub, but handles removed so to couldn't use it. Cement floor with paint on it pealing off. Pool water always cloudy. I could go on but you get the idea..."

"The ambiance was really cool and relaxing. The food were great, the staff and owner was very accomodating, they answered all our questions and helped us with the available activities and tours. "Second stay at LLV and, again, even being critical couldn't find a fault. Top notch room and amenities with speedy and always polite service. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for. The 109 steps up into room L88 are burning off some extra calories. Will be back!"
