"I can't say enough good things about Dragonfly. We only stayed a night unfortunately but planning to come back already (checked out a few hours ago). The owner is super friendly and interesting. We felt welcomed from the second we set foot in the property. The vibe is new age but it's very low key. You can absorb the vibe or ignore it. Breakfast included an interesting assortment of fruit, coffee, tea, toast and yogurt with chia seeds. Everything organic. The Dolphin Room had everything we needed. Giant comfortable bed. Outdoor bathroom but screened and private. It's not the Hilton (thankfully) and not for everyone but if it's what you're looking for then it's perfect. Sounds of nature abound. Peaceful energy that nurtures the soul. And again I have to emphasize if the new age vibe doesn't appeal then you can easily ignore it. Please don't let that put you off. Come and enjoy."

"This is our second time in Big Island. We knew we want to stay around Captain Cook area because we like to snorkel. We didn’t expect being greeted with the most delicious banana muffins. In addition, Keri and Tina generously share their fruits and eggs from the garden. The animals were all so cute and welcoming (yes including the geckos) - part of the package😊. We had two teen boys with us and the unit are big enough for all of us doing our school and work (at times) at separate spaces. Gratefully yours, CKMW "

"Excellent property! Probably the most well-equipped rental we’ve stayed at. Everything has been thoughtfully curated to make one’s stay enjoyable—it’s not fancy but immensely comfortable. The setting is fantastic—right on the ocean with a delightful plunge pool and plenty of shade if needed. It’s pretty private—minimal noise from intermittent construction and a rental house two lots over. Bring your food with you as the nearest stores are 15 or so miles away and carry the basics. Then settle in for a relaxing time! The night skies are awesome. The host Dan was accessible and helpful."

"We were looking for someplace away from the crowds that was peaceful and quiet and that’s exactly what we found at this property. On the water edge with access to snorkeling just down the road. Neighborhood is exceptionally quiet, which was wonderful. The host was easily accessible and provided plenty even information about the house and the area. "

"Property was as advertised. Peaceful beautiful view. However it was a VERY steep road and driveway. When wet the road became slick and at one point tires spinning we were crossing fingers that we would make it to the highway. But all good. Would stay again"

"This location was amazing for views and enjoying the sound and view of the ocean! The house was amazing with all the amenities needed for a week stay. Would recommend having a 4x4 to get to the property. It is not an easy drive to get to neighborhood and is very intimidating the first time you drive it. The drive is worth the views from the house and the lava cliffs tbat are just amazing and serene. Definitely recommend staying here!"

"Cheryl is a great host. Her communication is perfect. The house is spacious, clean and you will find everything you need. We used the house mainly for sleeping. There are no coqui frogs or mosquitoes. Ideal for a peaceful sleep. We enjoyed our stay very much."
