We stayed here with two other couples, and we had a great time! The property was very private and beautiful, the host was very communicative, and we would absolutely recommend this place!
If you love quiet and beautiful scenery this is the place for you. The home is lovely and we loved sitting outside on the porch. The host couldnt have been more friendly and gracious. We highly recommend this property.
This property is amazing! So many trails to explore the river is beautiful. The property manager was so sweet and kind to our family needs. We can’t wait to visit again
stayed a long weekend at this idyllic property. Ashira and Richard are great. Fishing on site at the river, beautiful views and lots of peace and quiet. Wonderful stay.
Perfect setting for our family farmhouse vacation! We enjoyed the peace & quiet and hiking & playing in the river. Also took day trips to the nearby caves and parks. Thank you Richard & Ashira!
Very nice relaxing stay. Enjoyed the hot tub immensely. Our 3 year old grandson loved the Farm. He was not ready to leave yet. We would love to come back and stay a longer. The hostess was very nice and friendly.
A Quiet and peaceful Fourth at Blue River Valley Farm
The property is secluded and scenic. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen has all anyone needs for preparing meals, and there are plenty of places to sit and relax, both in and outside the house.
I cannot say enough. We will be back.
The property is amazing, 10 minute walk to the river. No one is allowed to build on the river or have stairs, so they have a “natural” path with dug out steps with flat rocks. It’s about a 10-15 foot decent. Worth every step! We tied a rope across and tied our tubes up and floated for the week.
The beds were comfortable, bedding was good, towels provided, and all your basics at your fingertips. The grocery stores were 15 minutes away and the size of a large pharmacy.
The hot tub was perfect, the water pressure in the shower was good.
Ashira and the dogs were very welcoming and helpful.
My husband and I stayed for a little getaway and had a very relaxing time. Our first night was incredible as we soaked in the hot tub under a blanket of stars. We enjoyed walking the property's trails, preparing all of our meals in the well stocked kitchen, and making a warm fire in the wood stove. We felt rejuvenated at the end of our stay. Ashira was a wonderful host and very attentive. Thanks for a great stay!
Enjoyed getting away from it all and enjoying blue skies, lots of green, and fresh air. Plus the kids loved feeding the chickens and fish and found a new buddy in Patchy the dog. 💛
Blue River Valley farm is a beautiful place to stay. It is a very relaxing place We had a wonderful time. Easy access to Louisville area and Corydon Indiana’s 1st State Capitol. Great places to eat near them The Overlook Restaurant is only 30 min. We had deer in the yard one morning. Nature at its best!
We had an amazing stay at Blue River Valley Farm. The house was clean and cozy, and we enjoyed exploring the property as well as taking some time to unplug and just relax. The host, Ashira, was super helpful and responsive and even took care of our dog while we went into Louisville for the day. If you are looking for a nice quiet weekend near Louisville, this is a great place to stay!
We loved this property! House had everything we needed including farm fresh eggs! Beautiful location to hike along the Blue river and our dog loved the outdoors! We also enjoyed the hot tub every evening! Would love to come back in the summer.
This place was wonderful to unplug and catch up with family. Patchy, their little dog, was a great little host and companion while we were there. He joined us on our walk down to the water. It was fun to look for fossils and shells, just listen to the water, and skip rocks. I would get this place again if our family wanted to stay again!
It was the perfect place to unwind and relax after spending our days at the Kentucky Derby. The drive to Louisville was about 45 mins, mostly rural areas and not much traffic. The property is beautiful and peaceful. My favorite part was relaxing in the hot tub after busy days, looking up at the stars and listening to nothing but the evening air.
Very good stay! Ashira and her husband were wonderful with us. We were looking for a time to relax around nature and her property was everything we were looking for. Everythimg very clean, well taken care. Thank's a lot for everything.
This is a beautiful property and we had a great time. We played in the river, searched for fossils, made bonfires, listened to the birds and the neighbors cows, and walked the trails. Ashira is a great host! Our kids fed the chickens and koi, and fell in love with the dogs. The house is nice, and was much better than being in a cramped hotel room.
Absolutely loved our stay. Should’ve stayed longer. The property was great and we thoroughly enjoyed hiking and exploring the entire property. The walks to the river to enjoy the scenery were very nice. Ending each night with a fire in the fire pit and a soak in the hot tub we’re just what we needed. Communication with the owner was very good and she provided us with farm fresh eggs from her chickens and wood for the fire pit. Loved just sitting on the back porch listening to nature with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. We will be back.
What a gem! My family had a wonderful time here. Thank you for sharing your property with us. The love and care you put into all the details was evident. Farm fresh eggs such a wonderful touch! Having wood for the fire pit made campfire time easy and was really appreciated.
Would love to see upgrade to the bed mattresses at some point, but that's really minor.
We will definitely be back!

Wonderful Get Away from City Life
I stayed here over Memorial Day weekend because it was close to the Wilstem Ranch, which we were visiting. We got there later than expected on Friday night, & once we got to the house everything was perfect. The beds were comfy. The house was well kept and clean. The kitchen was fully equipped like they said, which was wonderful because a few times I stayed at "fully equipped kitchen" it was not. The hot tub was wonderful! The trail to the river was nice and clear. The kids really enjoyed the river. It was a wonderful stay. I would definitely recommend and stay again!
