"This is the 3 rd time we have stayed at the Wild Boar and we decided to Upgrade our room this time . Unfortunately the shower had not be cleaned and had cobwebs hanging from It clearly Indicating it had not been cleaned throughly for some time . All staff were friendly and the meals are fantastic unfortunately the standard of cleanliness of the shower somewhat tarnished the stay as the room upgrade was significantly more expensive than the standard rooms. "

"One of our go to places when up in Kendal for business. Clean & friendly and a good choice of things on the menu. Food is delicious! Only downfall we had was we booked a certain table for dinner one evening and one member of staff had moved us and was quite rude about it! Original table was empty the whole time we were in the restaurant! Wouldn’t have minded if she had been polite and explained why the move had been made!"

"Fabulous weekend away with our dog at The Brown Horse. The staff here are fabulous. From check in to check out efficient and friendly. "We checked in to this beautiful old inn, and were greeted by owner Johnathan, we were shown to our room and told if we needed anything just ask. Being the winter the kitchen is closed Monday and Tuesday which Johnathan apologised for, we replied it’s absoulutly fine. He told us of the local Chinese just up the road and said please feel free to bring it back to our room to eat, which we did. Excellent Chinese takeaway. We slept like logs and woke to have full breakfast that Jonathan cooked which...

"Had a great long weekend at the property. Had loads of stuff there to use the kitchen to its full potential. Was lovely and warm and everyone had plenty of space in the accommodation. We were able to celebrate Christmas with my mum who is going to Guatemala next month and won’t be there. A few tiny tweaks will make this a perfect let but already great as it is."

"Nice caravan, situated close to all amenities, if you have stayed in a Haven Park before this caravan would be classed as a Bronze accommodation, to give you the comparison if you were to book your stay with Haven direct. Weather was great, park very busy with the weekend campers (tents) this area was packed, kids play park was a free for all, I would say too small for the amount of families staying onsite, wonder what the middle of summer holidays would be like when all caravans and camping...
