"We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay. A well equipped house and the fresh water pool was a delight. The views are lovely. Arie was a great host (don't forget to ask for directions). A great getaway location with easy access (30 mins by car) to Beaches, Porto, Amarante, River Duoro etc. There is much to do in the area: sight seeing, walking, riding bikes, train ride, swimming in the sea and rivers. Everyone we came across was very friendly. We'd love to come back!"

"We spent a wonderful week in this lovely villa in August. Very well equipped and comfortable, and in a great location to explore the area - but note the roads are very windy and hilly so it can take a while to get places! The swimming pool is great with a fantastic view, and we enjoyed taking the kayaks out on the river. The owner Maria gave us some good tips on places to visit and made us very welcome. Thank you for your hospitality :)"

"We had a lovely holiday in Alvarenga. Manuel and his family were warm and welcoming and we loved attempting to chat round the pool in French and Spanish! It's a beautiful area with green eucalyptus hills and the Geo park provided some interesting spots to visit. While on the ground floor the common area suited the group well, everyone couple/family had its own room and space upstairs. "Petite maison avec accès un peu difficile. Tranquille mais avec du voisinage. La cuisine à l’étage c’est pas très pratique mais elle donne sur la terrasse donc on peut pas tout avoir."

"The apartment was lovely, perfect for 1-2 persons, with a great view from the balcony. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Leonor. The location was fantastic, very close to the Bolhão market, the metro, dining, shopping and groceries. It was easy to walk to the historic district and the river. Next time I am in Porto, I will definitely stay here again!"
