"Room chairs are very uncomfortable but suited the decor of the property. Some curtains were tattered, spiderwebs in corners and around windows. The breakfast was very nice as was the service. The property is in keeping with the period but the gardens have been let go. "

"Kelly the co-proprieter of the fold Gold Rush motel was super obliging when we asked for an early check in. Something many motels could learn from. The whole experience only a one night stay was very straight forward from woah to go. With a spacious and comfortable room with adequate power points and good facilities that were clean and in good condition. "Just a short 20 minutes drive to the cradle mountain national park area, our room was very comfortable with a big bath tub to relax in. The heater was great during colder night. There is a cafe across the street offer good selection of food but we mostly enjoyed cooking on the back veranda with our camp cooktop and eating with beautiful forest view. We saw pademelons showing up everyday in the back yard and they were the cutest. "

"My daughter and I stayed overnight in a twin room and we absolutely loved it! The room was clean, the bedding a towels were clean, the kitchen had everything you needed, the bathrooms were great. We loved the history of the hotel and feeling a part of it. Typical yummy pub food for dinner and lovely continental breakfast. Bonus - beautiful waterfall across the road! "

"So isolated, situated in the national park with the closest grocery store one and a half hours away. Beautiful setting. Room could use some plates and cutlery but the lodge let us borrow some. Basic and clean, Molten Brown products were a nice touch. Pricey for a campground ($400 per night) but I think that may have been because of the time of year between Christmas and New Year and for the convenience of being right on Lake Sinclair. "
