Taranaki Creekside KEA by Tiny Away

Summary:
Welcome to Taranaki Creekside KEA! The ideal tiny house sits on a 4-acre lifestyle block in rural Taranaki, which is divided into four paddocks, roughly an acre each. Surrounded by working agricultural farms, to the east is a dairy farm, to the west is a horse ranch, and south is a beef cattle ranch. A hidden gem within Egmont (Taranaki) National Park, overlooking Tongariro, Ruapehu, and Ngāruhoe.

The Space:
Taranaki Creekside KEA is 8 km from the town of Stratford in Taranaki, New Zealand. Located in one of the best tiny house rentals in Taranaki, perfectly nestled beside a creek, among native trees and bushland. It has unobstructed views of the spectacular Mt Taranaki—one of the few places in the world with both an alpine mountain and a surf beach, all within a 30-minute drive. Nearby Stratford, Midhurst, and Egmont National Park are just a few of the attractions in the area.

A comfortable 139 square-feet stay set in an idyllic setting where your welcoming hosts would love to share their beautiful location overlooking "Mt Doom" from "Lord of the Rings" and Mt Taranaki from “The Last Samurai” bear a resemblance to Mt Fuji. All with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities including an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste-holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers) for your use.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Taranaki KEA is tucked away behind the main Farmhouse and nestled under the trees, while Taranaki TUI is visible from the road. Please be advised that there will be other guests on the property. A second tiny house sits on the same property. If you want to book in groups, please contact your land host 24 hrs in advance to make arrangements.

Furthermore, since the tiny house is positioned at high altitudes, snow occasionally falls here. The area is relatively quiet, despite being surrounded by agricultural operations such as farm animals and farm vehicles on-site.

- Continental Breakfast is available for an extra cost and by prior arrangement with the host
