"A girlfriend and I wanted a few days R and R. This stunning property and location fitted the bill. The beds were so comfortable! Felt cocooned for a few days. Just what we needed. Would recommend the property to anyone wanted to get away from it all. Only downside was the check in process as it was dark by 4pm. We struggled to find the property despite good directions and then found we could not see very well to open the key box. "

Unfortunately, the BBQ shown in the garden images does not work, however this was not necessarily mentioned as an amenity in the listing. The only place this house loses points is in its cleanliness - this really was not up to standard, as mentioned in previous reviews. Shower drains were full of hair from previous visitors; multiple bedrooms had either old food, empty wine or water...

"From taking the booking to leaving the lodge we did not experience any issues, which is exactly what you want . I really felt like the staff went out of their way to make us feel wanted and ensure we had a pleasant stay. The lodge was perfect, clean and comfortable and fully equipped. The only issues were that there was a leak from the ceiling which caused a bit of a musty smell and the dishes in the cupboard were not clean. The beds were very comfortable and the location was in a great neighbour with many shops and restaurants. It was also very quiet. "

Lots to do in the surrounding area as well. Great support from orion holidays on site. Replaced the bedding for my sister within half an hour to help her allergy! Amazing team"

"We stayed in The Piggery for 3 nights. The property was perfect for a very comfortable stay. Nicely decorated & the bed linen and towels provided smelt lovely! The surroundings are beautiful, great for country walks & the garden to the main house is stunning. We made use of the on site games room, which is a great bonus, particularily the tabble tennis and magnetic darts ! Very peaceful location and we would definately stay again in the future. "

"The building is impressive, the location is amazing but finding it with the original sat nav info provided was really difficult. they had another private access track that wasn't given until after we arrived! Overall the place was really nice but not having any instruction manuals for any of the kitchen equipment like cooker, microwave, oven, dishwasher etc made using them a real challenge."
