"A group of 9 of us from the UK and France went to Rio to celebrate a 6oth Birthday. We chose Alex’s house because of the central location, views and pool. We were not disappointed. The house is in a trendy area filled with bars and restaurants and is a Grand Old Lady perched near the top of the hill. "Chose this hotel for the area and view over the harbour and sugar loaf mountain. Hotel itself is next to the domestic airport so ideal for travellers which made it quite a busy hotel. It has plenty of amenities onsite and close by. There is a rooftop pool and restaurant (with views to die for), a gym and nearby shops and alternate eateries. The rooms are modern and comfortable with a fully stocked fridge and plenty of space for luggage. The staff are friendly and helpful despite being busy. The breakfast was amazing with a huge choice to suit all. Some parakeets came to visit in the morning too which were lovely to see as well as a few other birds but didn’t cause any problems. Would highly recommend both for convenience to the airport and area"
