"We cannot say enough positive things about the gardenia garden house. It was a wonderful location to explore the beaches and hiking spots around Chania, and experience the lovely culture of the people of Sternes. It is within 10 minutes of the airport but feels a world away. Comfortable furnishings surrounded by lemon and olive trees,herbs to cook with in its well equipped kitchen all made it a comfortable home for us. Hoping to return to this lovely spot!"

"We enjoyed our 5 night stay at Maria’s penthouse. Maria is a very helpful, responsive and accommodating host. She gave us great suggestions for places to visit, including stargazing from Omalou Plateau. She also did not charge us extra when my daughter and son-in-law stayed with us for 1 night in the 2nd bedroom."

"We stayed in the lower level unit with direct access to the front yard. There was no other renter in the upper unit at the time which made it even more enjoyable as my kids loved hanging out and playing in the front yard until late in the evening. Many shops and restaurants literally steps from the house and the beach is just across the street. The house was comfortable, the AC worked well and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped though could have used a bit more utensils and...

"Staying at Ria's place was absolutely fabulous! We had the BEST time and Ria is such a lovely person! Upon arrival Ria had the place decorated for our daughter's birthday with banners, balloons, candles, party hats, streamers, and even the most delicious cake we have ever had in the fridge waiting for us! The place was exceptionally clean and Ria was waiting for us outside upon arrival to give us a quick tour. The check-in and check-out process was very easy and we had absolutely no issues...

"Loved Sfakia, such amazing beach resorts Walks and Gorges. The house was very comfortable with great balcony around the infinity swimming pool. Amazing view of the Libyan sea. "Beautiful view every morning on the patio. Very clean and high quality inside. Kostas and Anna are super nice and very attentive. Please note this house is great but for one family only. Since this is a renovated older house, one bedroom is attached to another. This makes it a bit difficult for two families due to walking through one bedroom to get to the front room."
