"The staff are beyond friendly. We enjoyed our fireside riddles and laughed a lot with some of the staff. Our camel ride out to the camp with guide Mohammed was stellar. There was a stop for the sunset and some local berbere men shared their sand board with us so we could play on the dunes. The only thing I'd change about the entire experience is the dinner. I wish it'd been more authentic and less "fancy". I should also warn that the heat does not and has not worked in the camp in some time. We...

"It was Dec so a little too cold in the desert for a comfortable sleep. They enough provided enough quilts but when the bed is cold, it is cold :-) They had warm running water, bathrooms were clean and well equipped. They do not take credit cards so be prepared to carry cash. The owner met us in the city afterwards, we had to stand in line, withdraw money multiple times from the ATM to give him cash. He was very friendly but the process took away time from our schedule. "

"Camels, and 4X4’s, luxury and serenity. The camp had it all. It was the perfect experience and one I truly hope to experience again. We spent 2 nights at the camp and I am so glad that we did, one just would not be enough. Although the food, surroundings, stargazing, camel rides, and four wheeling through the dunes are amazing, the best part of Horaz is the wonderful, warm staff. Thank you Alí and everyone else for giving us a memorable few days in Africa!"

"We had an amazing 2-night stay at Kam Kam camps. We were welcomed graciously with tea and treats (as is typical in Morocco). The camp grounds were beautiful. "The property accepted our 2-night reservation 2 months ago but they were closed when we arrived. We had to find another lodging option on the spot. Not even an apology from the owner that we could contact on the phone. Terrible experience! "

"I had an incredible stay in the Merzouga Sahara Desert, at this camp which perfectly situated at the foot of the highest sand dunes and near a beautiful lake. The atmosphere was amazing, the king-sized bed was cozy, and the authentic food was absolutely delicious. Ahmed, the manager, and his team were warmly welcoming and went above and beyond to share the rich history and culture of the desert. I particularly appreciated Ahmed’s insights into fossils and the ancient creatures, like the Mesosaurus and dinosaurs, that once inhabited the area. It was the highlight of my trip to Morocco, and I can’t wait to return with my family soon!"

Absolutely fabulous!!!

"We only stayed one night, but it was a memorable one! Not only is the “Desert Villa” breathtakingly beautiful, but so was the atmosphere because of the hospitality of the owner Youssef and his brother. Youssef went above and beyond to make our evening there special. We arrived not too long before sunset and when he heard we’d planned to walk a little into the desert he immediately grabbed his car keys and took us to one of the further out high dunes. He encouraged us to climb up for a spectacular view, which we wouldn’t have gotten otherwise. Dinner and breakfast in house were wonderful too and Youssef took time to talk to us about his life, life of Nomads and interesting facts about the area. "
