"For anyone who has stayed at the Burley before, you will be surprised at the high quality of the upgrade and renovation of the public areas and rooms. Very nicely done, especially the new dining room (that is also used for the excellent breakfast). Only quibble that I would have is that whoever designed the new showers placed the shelf in in silliest place — immediately under the shower head where therefore water drips and splashes continually whilst showering and making it impossible to place soap or other cleaning products on the shelf."

"Great hotel. Appeared to be clean everywhere but perhaps housekeeping could check under the beds. The restaurant, which we have visited previously, was disappointing this time. In the past has been amazing. "

"Great over all, needed a place to lay our heads for a night and Novotel did the job well. Everything was clean, warm and comfortable. Handy having parking just 2 minute walk away at £10 for 24 hours... pretty good these days in the middle if a city. Only niggle was the tap and sink setup in the bathroom meant you couldn't get much water in the kettle without using one of the small glasses to top it up... a very British problem and caused more giggles than gnashing of teeth! Free drink at the bar more than made up for it! Uber was easy and about £5 to Welford Road (Tigers rugby ground) We'll stay again for sure."

"Second stay with our french bulldog We stayed on Christmas Day / Boxing Day for the Pink Coconut Reunion at the Palis Nightclub Check in was quick and the receptionist can remember her name but she is South American was lovely and really helpful Hotel is in a fab location in the city centre we had everything on the doorstop It’s also pet friendly which is great over as we often travel with our dog Hotel was very quiet but it was Christmas Day Our room was huge with a nice seating area and lovely powerful walk in shower Would definitely stay again "
