"Loved my short stay at this wonderful hotel. It was like stepping back in history and living in a stately home. First class service from the staff and marvellous food too. As for the grounds and gardens ! It was just so relaxing and calming walking around the extensive and peaceful grounds surrounding the house and visiting the family church in the woods. Would definitely recommend and will be returning again as soon as I can."

"Lovely short stay at this gem of a hotel. The staff were all so friendly & really helpful throughout our stay. We were contacted beforehand to see if we wished to dine in on our arrival which was very handy. Lovely fresh food was most welcome after a long drive. The bedroom & bathroom were spotlessly clean. "Really beautiful house, and very well appointed with everything you need for your stay - all the little things had been thought about. The renovation of the barn has been done very sympathetically keeping many of the original features on the old building. Great hosts, on hand for anything you need. Would recommend. "

"Lovely and quiet at the end of the village. Real home from home. Will definitely be back to stay again in the future. Went out in Leicester so didnt try the The Stilton Cheese Inn which is only a 10 mins walk away & looks good. "
