"Matildas Hotel is beautiful property with lovely garden. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and try their best to assist me (even im cases they didnt spoke English and I didnt speak Spanish). Its clean and quiet, nice place for relaxing stay. It is also close by walk to the cith centre. Just one must be careful when walking around and not showing phone or valueables on the street."

"A wonderful place to stay in Santiago. Start with the staff and ownership--so friendly, spoke Englished, loaned us an adaptor for our phone charger, let us leave bags on the day we were leaving so we could tour the city, helpful recommendations on food and sights to see. The room was clean and spacious, the bathroom spotless, the towels and linens first class! And the breakfast, well plan on spending a lazy half to one hour with the great coffee, pastries, cereals, eggs, meat, cheese!!! Finally, Casa Conde is located in an old neighborhood with a good vibe and just a block from the main Santiago throughfare and the subway. When we go back, this is where we will stay."

"The building is a little dated, but they have the necessary amenities. The people are very helpful and friendly, including being very patient while i attempted to use google translate as my spanish is not great. The breakfast is decent, not much variety but seems pretty standard from what i noticed re breakfast in other places in Chile. The beds are a little soft, but not unbearably so (my personal preference is hard mattresses so it might be the bed is perfect for you). A lot of street noise, but the city was loud everywhere i went so the hotel cannot help this! We had a room on the 2nd floor which was very spacious, but there was no lift. It was in Downtown, and we walked most places in 15 to 60 minutes depending on the venue location. Overall i would highly recommend."
