A few minor points however: the house was not clean when we arrived, there was no television (and I love the Tour the France so i had appreciated it if the landlords had told us), there was no wifi (we knew that beforehand) and the matrasses in the two-beds bedroom were below minimum level. "Around 2006, the owners, Jacqueline and Daniel, decided to turn an old stone house near their own place into a Gite. The work was done with a lot of care. The main area has a master bedroom and bath. For families with children, the attic space has an additional 3 beds and a half-bath. "This was our first trip to the Dordogne and the first time travelling with our 9-month old dog. Our accommodation - Cote du Grel - was perfect for us. Enclosed small garden which was great for our dog and for us relaxing in the sun. Terrace area where we had all our meals - it was so peaceful. "Well equipped and comfortable family living. The outside space was good, with table, chairs and parasol for private use and plenty of shared space for badminton or drawing or whatever. Nice pool. Small supermarkets nearby and 25 minutes drive to big supermarkets . Lots of pretty little towns nearby with interesting places to visit. We did a boat trip on the Dordogne, visited nearby aquatic gardens and bastide towns. A very pretty part of France."

"Peaceful location but attractions conveniently close. Most reviews cover the spring/summer period but this was a great place for Christmas with friends who live in France. Regis and Marie Claire are very friendly, close if any help is needed but not intrusive. It made a memorable visit."

"The perfect house for a family holiday. We loved the garden, pool and all the different areas and the fully equipped house felt like a home from home. It was handy that the local town was so near and had all we really needed but also lots to see and do around. Communication with the owner was very good. It was everything we needed, and more!! "We had a wonderful week here at Ian and Lesley's place. It is very secluded and peaceful, yet close to lots of interesting towns, villages and sites. The pool is excellent and the whole place with its lovely garden is a really relaxing environment. Ian and Lesley were always on hand for any tips/help, but also very respectful of their guests' space. All in all, this is the perfect location for exploring the beautiful Lot region.
