"Quite and peaceful just what I was looking for a weekend away from the normal busy life"

"This was such a great getaway for the weekend. Everything was clean and well maintained. The hosts were easy to contact and answered all my questions. Great way to learn about living off grid, showering in an outdoor stall and using a composting toilet. If you need to keep some food cold or frozen I suggest bringing some ice. They provided a small cooler. Overall great experience."

"Cozy cabin in a tranquil setting. Located within a vineyard and on a pond. Outside setting faced the pond and was an excellent place for coffee and evening cocktails. Beautiful location within easy commute to Chapel Hill, Durham, and surrounding area."

"A Minimalist Fancy! It's a cute place to lay your head and take a short shower. That's a very good description! We enjoyed our stay, and Lori was a great host. We also enjoy shooting at the sporting clay range. They have shotguns to rent and shells. The small hotel-style refrigerator, microwave, and toaster oven are just enough to get by for basic meals. "We loved our stay. They thought of everything to keep us comfortable. Historic and yet thoroughly modern -- with all the tech you could want. Close to our son in Pittsboro and not too far from Chapel Hill! It would be great for a game weekend if you don't like the hustle and bustle of the campus area."

"Our family enjoyed this property with all of its unique indoor and outdoor spaces. In addition to the plentiful space inside, we enjoyed having great sitting areas outside. We are also a cooking family, so we appreciated having a kitchen stocked with pots, pans and tools as well as a gas grill. This enabled us to fix a near-gourmet meal for ourselves as well as friends and family who live nearby. We hope to return to this property in the future."

"This was such a delightful little house with a cute theme! The property was quiet, and the perfect place for my own little mini-writer retreat. I enjoyed hiking at nearby Jordan Lake the first day as much as I enjoyed being shut in due to rain the second. Will definitely stay again! "

"A primary reason we chose this house is the proximity to downtown. We were able to walk to the Durham Performing Arts Center for a show we were attending, and there were restaurants and bars to choose from along the way.The listing advertises that this house sleeps 11, but we wouldn't recommend with such a large group.
