"We waited 20 minutes to get checked in, the room had no card keys when we checked in, the floor was dirty and sticky, the shower curtain was stained on the bottom with what I think was mildew, the bottom sheet was also stained with what looked like mildew and the lighting was very dim - not suitable for reading. I love the smell of avgas in the morning! Airshow time!! Last year, the US government cut back on defense department spending, which cut into airshow performances around the United States. This year, the US Navy Blue Angels and the US Air Force Thunderbirds have been given the all-clear to perform at various shows around the country. This shot of two Blue Angels F-18 Hornets making a high speed and close pass was taken at the South Texas Airshow on March 29th, at Naval Air Station, Kingsville. You'll see great performances like this at a lot of airshows this year. Check out Milavia.net for this years' airshow calendar for a show near you. Take lots if sunscreen, a hat, drink plenty if water and, of course, a camera with a decent zoom. This shot was taken at 200mm.
