"Staying at the Lake House was truly an exceptional experience for our family! We have stayed in many VRBO homes and this one provided by far the very best combination of layout, location and amenities. Cathy & Jeff truly exemplified “pride of ownership” by providing absolutely anything and everything one could possibly imagine visitors would desire while staying in their beautifully maintained home. Our family gathering was an opportunity to spend quality time together unwinding, reconnecting and doing a lot of cooking! At every turn, Cathy & Jeff’s home provided a truly seamless experience. From the smallest details, such as a fully loaded spice rack, to a wide variety of outdoor seating areas, we could have spent a month and rarely used the same area twice. Right from the arrival, the Lake House was exactly what we had all imagined as the ideal “Lakefront Cottage”. Elegant and well maintained, sitting on a lovely waterfront parcel of wooded land. The setting was idyllic in everyway. Inside, the bedrooms were large, well appointed, meticulously clean and elegantly decorated with the perfect blend of “Lake House” vibe, without the tacky or kitsch – no singing bass over the fireplace or book shelves made to look like a canoe. Communication with the owners, instructions on equipment use and space were smooth and always hospitable. We don’t want to give too much away, but suffice it to say this home is exceptional in so many ways and we are already planning our return."

"Gary met us at the cottage and gave us the grand tour, we had the most incredible scenic weekend away with our family and especially enjoyed the experience of Gary’s telescopes!! We got to see sun spots on the sun and go and explore the dark night reserve! Gary is a very laid back and kind host and we can’t wait to go back!! "

"My family and I stayed for 3 nights, 2 days in this amazing place. It was clean, well kept, and the owner was very friendly. The kids, and adults, both enjoyed the view, the fishing, the company and the weather. We were able to use the paddle board as well as the fishing boat.We are already planning next year's visit!! "We had a lovely time on Little Marble Lake at The Bon Echo Family Campground, just minutes away from Bon Echo Provincial Park. Everything ran so smoothly from check-in, to relaxing on the beach, to lighting the fire at night to check-out. Rob, the owner's son was especially courteous and made sure our questions were answered and our needs were met. When we arrived, we had the chance to listen to the annual music festival that Ralph, the owner, organizes and felt the warm community vibe right away. We can't wait to come back when our 10 month old is older and can run around! She loved exploring the cabin, sitting on the beach and doing a little paddle on the water. It was so idyllic, quiet and yet we were so close to other campers ... I can still hear the crickets and can't wait to return. The amenities were good. I would recommend bringing your favourite sharp knife, some larger cooking and salad bowls would be good too. "

"Sadhana was a wonderful, prompt and informative host. We enjoyed our stay at her property this summer and would recommend it to others looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway. The house was quiet, bright, large and modern with a well appointed kitchen and comfortable bedrooms/living room. The bathrooms were clean and well shocked with plenty of hot water. The washing machine and dryer were new and handy, and washing supplies were provided. Sadhana gave us plenty of ideas of activities to do in the area and we also enjoyed day trips to Bon Echo, Picton, Prince Edward County and Desoronto. Sandbanks Winery, Bocatino Tapas Restaurant, the bookstore in Tamworth, Milligan's Meats, and The O'Conner English Tea Room were all highlights. We love to cook and did have to get sharper knives in order to prepare nice meals and cut locally purchased produce. If you're planning on preparing meals, perhaps bring a knife or two. Everything else was great! One minor negative was the BBQ. It seemed like the previous occupants had made a mess of it, leaving spilt grease and leftover fish pieces inside of it. We were unable to find anything to clean it properly so we decided not to use it. We did try to start it after changing the tank (provided) but were unsuccessful (perhaps user error). There were lots of clean chairs outside to enjoy the beautiful views. We especially liked the patio off of the spacious and bright master bedroom. Thank you for a nice and relaxing stay! The "
