Idyllic, secluded setting for a quiet getaway from the City. Main house (1500 sf) has two bedrooms with king & queen size beds, kitchen, two full, completely renovated bathrooms. Den has pullout couch with queen mattress. Pool cottage (1500 sf) includes kitchenette, recreation room, screened patio, full bath, large tv room and area to spread out. The house has central air; the cottage has window air conditioning. New gas grill, beautiful new pool and "cool to touch" stone deck for private sunning. Wooded lots on three sides, with 6 foot fence around the entire back yard. Bocci Court, Ping Pong table and inside games for rainy days and quiet evenings. Large screen TVs with access to your Netflix, Hulu, etc. accounts - TV in the den has most cable channels. Kitchen stocked with plates, glasses, flatware, pots and pans, etc. Bath and pool towels, sheets, etc. all provided. Perfect for family or three couples. Three minute walk to private beach in one direction. Five minute walk to a full service marina in the other direction. 90 minutes from Manhattan, but a world away from the hustle and bustle. Perfect spot to relax, spend time with family and friends and enjoy life the way it was meant to be. Enjoy the dozens of North Fork wineries within an easy drive. Minimum two-week stay required by the Southold Township.

Ultimate staycation
Although only 90 minutes from the city, Shawn and Colleen's home felt like an oasis many miles away. Our family ranges in age from 4 to 75 and we were able to hang out together comfortably to bbq or watch a movie, or spread out for a bit of quiet time (or a nap). The pool was also a life saver during a late summer heat wave. We can't wait to return next year!

Family get together
It was a perfect spot to relax and enjoy our little family reunion. The pool wasn’t open yet, and the weather was a little chilly, but the spacious back deck was a great place to gather for an afternoon glass of wine. It was only a 5 minute walk to the beach area on the bay and less than a 5 minute drive to a grocery store, drug store, restaurants, and more.

Beautiful house, lots of space, and really close to the center of Mattituck
We had a wonderful time staying at the house! Great common spaces, lots of places for people to sleep, great kitchen with lots of cutlery, and it was really conveniently located near the center of Mattituck. One slight inconvenience was that there wasn’t heat for the cottage (no fuel), and so it was a bit chilly at night, but definitely manageable. Definitely recommend others to stay at this house!

Early season fishing trip
Nice, quiet, well appointed home in a great neighborhood. Never got the wifi to work which may have been due to area issues and some tech glitch, but hosts were nice enough to discount our added night due to bad weather that extended our planned stay. Having spent time in Mattituck when young, it was great to see all the changes and revisit some favorite spots. Would stay again if/when we decide to return to L.I.

This is a nice house, very close to the beach, with a great back yard. The owners are very responsive to questions. It is on a quiet street. We have two small kids and this house worked well.

Like a Summer Resort without all the extra guests!
Marie had a wonderful time at your property. The property and the grounds were well-maintained and the pool was much larger than we had anticipated. The house was very clean and the master bed was extra large and so comfortable. We also enjoyed the local restaurants- especially Case's Place and Legends. Shawn was especially helpful with any questions we had. We hope to be back next summer!

Great location and pool!
The house is in a great and convenient area - right down the block from a nice sand beach (and beautiful Camp Mineola), near Love Lane, wineries and other beaches. The pool and backyard are fantastic! We spent our days relaxing by the pool, BBQing and taking walks down to the beach for a swim. Their are loads of fun pool toys as well. There is also a bocci court in the backyard which was a lot of fun. The main house was very nice and roomy for our family (2 adults and 1 child) and it was great to have 2 full bathrooms. The house has everything you need, including a well stocked kitchen and pool toys. Shawn and Colleen were very accessible and helpful when a couple of questions came up. We had a wonderful time at this house!

Unforgettable family vacation home!
We've been vacationing on the North Fork for several years, and Shawn and Colleen's home is by far the best house we've stayed in. The pool was a lifesaver-- my kids spent about 8 hours a day swimming and then slept like logs every night. We played ping-pong in the (giant) pool house and ate a grilled dinner every night on the deck. Of course, we left the house a few times for some Magic Fountain ice cream. The grown-ups played bocce while the kids roasted marshmallows. The beach is a short walk down the road. Swimming in the Peconic Bay is delightful-- it's shallow and fairly warm, with little fish swimming everywhere. The house is beautiful, perfect for a comfortable and relaxing stay with the whole family. We definitely plan to come gain next year!

Fun, beautiful vacation!
This was the perfect place for our family and friends for a week in the summer. So nice to have a relaxing vacation with our newborn and a couple friends. My husband's parents were happy staying in the pool house so they had their own space. It was so great to have the option of pool and beach. Loved lying out, playing, BBQing all day by the pool with walks to the small beach for a little dip in the bay. It was also nice to walk to the marina around the corner. The location is great for wine tasting trips and Love Lane. And of course all the great farms and restaurants in the area. The dining room was nice if it was too hot out for lunch or dinner and loved having a big den with the TV to chill out in. Shawn was very responsive and helpful, thank you for sharing your home with us! We already planned our next trip there at the end of the month and hope to come back again soon after that!

Everything you want in a North Fork house....
We just had such a wonderful time at Shawn and Colleen's lovely home. It truly feels like they have welcomed you into their home, and it is very easy to love being on the North Fork. The house is spotless, comfortable and perfect for a friends or family get away. It provides even more space than we expected, given the pool house. It truly is everything that you want. We spent many days walking to the bay (enjoying the private beach), and then back to the pool in the afternoon. The outdoor space is wonderful! Plus, we ended up tossing on sneaks, and walking to Love Lane Market (~1.0 miles), which is fantastic. The house is very conveniently located to Love Lane and all it has to offer. Of course, the house is also perfectly located to get to many of the prime wineries. My 3 year old nephew said it best, when he said, "I want to come back to the North Fork, AND I want to come back to this exact house!". ENJOY!

Good stay but a little warm
The property was convenient to the wineries and stores with sufficient room for dining and relaxing. My deposit was returned promptly. My only criticism would be the adequacy to the air conditioning. The property was described as air conditioned but the kitchen, dining and living room were not air conditioned. Only the den and bedrooms were air conditioned and the unit in one bedroom was broken. We only found out about the broken unit a few days before our visit were not able to make other arrangements. However. Our stay was in Late September so it was not too hot just a little uncomfortable. I think that if the house is described as air conditioned then the whole house should be serviced not just some of the rooms.

Great house in a tranquil setting
I recently rented this fabulous house for a girls getaway trip. The house was very clean and was decorated very tastefully. It is obvious that the owners have put some effort into making it very homey and up to date. The back yard was huge and the pool area gave you the feeling of being at a resort. I only wish it was a few weeks later when the MANY hydrangeas will be in full bloom to add to the beauty of the back yard. The guest cottage is so adorable and really adds a lot to this property listing. The location is perfect for a quick stroll to the water as well as to the quaint little town on Love Lane, which is a mere 15 minute walk. Here you can get a variety of delicious food from Love Lane market. In addition, there is a cheese shop, chocolate/gift store as well as multiple other little stores. Love Lane kitchen is there, that is a very popular spot, especially for breakfast. Its location is perfect to visit the many wineries located on the North Fork. For those that are planning a trip in the future, my friends and I enjoyed many wineries during our stay, a few suggestions include: Raphael's private wine tour (with Gabby) as well as Lenz' fun outdoor wine area. Other wonderful wineries we visited were Bedell and Konto Kosta with its beautiful water view. These are just a few of the over 50 wineries located on the North Fork. A perfect excuse to return in the future. Also located nearby is Greenport Harbor Brewery. The beer flight there was very tasty indeed. They allow you to bring in your own food which added to the fun afternoon. The staff there were very friendly and made the experience even more enjoyable. Legends Sports Bar (and fine restaurant) is located very close to the house and boasts a fun atmosphere and large bar area enjoyed by many of the locals. The food was very tasty and offered a wide variety of choices. I would recommend a visit there fore sure. We enjoyed our stay very much and can't wait to return back. Next time I plan on renting bikes where you can pick them up right there near the house. There is a wide bike lane on the side of the road where you can bike from winery to winery taking in some fresh sunshine along the way. There are some charming little towns along Rt 25 with many cute little shops and antique stores that we visited during our stay. The owners of the house were very responsive and made the rental a seamless effort. I would highly recommend renting this house for a future trip to the North Fork.

This is a wonderful property. Very clean, enjoyable backyard with plenty of space and nice pool. The cottage is adorable and a great bonus space. Sean and Colleen are great hosts, very responsive.
