"We needed a place to stay in or near Vinci for the night before our 3 week stay in a nearby villa began. Il Piastrino looked lovely and was VERY well priced. And it was exceptionally nice—from the spacious, charming rooms (surprise—we had a kitchen), the delicious breakfast, to the warm and welcoming staff. We arrived very late toward the end of a busy pris fixe am fresco dinner service but we were settled in and set at ease. And yes, we returned a few days later for the al fresco dining. Wow....

"This is the sweetest place we have ever stayed. We did not want to leave. Stefania is amazing. She got us reservations at the perfect restaurant up the hill. She is wonderful to work with. The bed was incredibly comfortable which is so important. The back yard is perfect for watching the sunset. The views are as advertised. Thank you, Stefania for making our time so memorable."

Great suggestions and helped us with the best places to park and see. It is off the beaten path so, with the exception of the amazing restaurant onsite, you have to drive to go anywhere. Of course the trade off is a small piece of serenity and quiet in a stunning villa."

"We stayed in one of Giulio and Marco’s new apartments for a week and had a fantastic time. The amenities, pool, olive groves and sunsets are beautiful. It was easy to get to Pisa and Lucca (20 min) each. Giulio was extremely generous with his time, giving us a detailed tour of the farm and explaining how he is planning to increase biodiversity. Both he and Marco also provided lots of helpful tips on making the most of the area. Definitely recommend!"

"A nice stay, but at the price point I was expecting that little more. Lovely room, nice food and friendly staff. Swimming pool had a maintenance issue so was unheated for the three days/ 2 nights of our stay. The heated pool was the main reason I chose this villa rather than other properties in the area. "We loved our stay at the Borgo La Casseta. It’s a family business, they have a small restaurant on the main floor. It takes approx half an hour drive up the hill to get there from Pistoia. A little bit tricky to find. Parking is free (gated property). The room was clean, separate bathroom. Breakfast was delicious. A spectacular 180 degree city/valley view. "

It is very close to the gate to the walled city center, literally only minutes away. The accommodations were exactly as described. Checkin/out was very easy and convenient.
