"At first we were a bit worried as we couldn't find the hotel in the sat nav, but then after we put in the coordinates we found on google maps, we found the gorgeous, serene and peaceful Ai Vecchi Crateri Hotel! We had the beautifully designed room 9 which is on the 1st floor with the view of the hotel's outdoor and pretty communial area. This hotel was a very pleasant surprise for us, as nowhere around Mount Etna, had we seen such delicate and beautiful, art and design come together to blend...

"Salvo was a very attentive host, always willing to help and make recommendations. The villa is nicely situated for Mount Etna, has 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms with a number of good restaurants nearby. A car is essential. Taormina and Catania are about one hour away."

"basic room but clean and a lovely pool- no tea making facilities. Great to have a patio and fresh limes to pick outside. However, clearly had not been de- bugged- we were bitten to death even with repellant. Breakfast was very poor- food left uncovered and meats and cheese left out for 2 hours not chilled. Tuna served from tin that was brought out each day- so unchilled for 2 hours a day for a week. Coffee and hot water was cold "
