"We thoroughly enjoyed our family stay in this classic, towering, white-washed home, with a terraced aerie providing views toward the Sierras Subbéticas and private tiled courtyard hosting many of our meals. Hosts were extremely attentive, with Antonio providing helpful information and arranging a tour of the Cueva de los Murciélagos. We felt embedded within village life, watching solemn Semana Santa processions pass below our balcony."

"The villa is very comfortable and easily sleeps 10 guests. The pool is lovely - very clean and salt water, so no nasty chlorine smells. Really enjoyed sunbathing and enjoying the beautiful country views, crowned by the castle at Alcala La Real. The gardens are very pleasant and there are 4 outside terraces and sitting areas, so ideal for al fresco living and dining. "Excellent property and location. The villa was exactly as shown in the pictures. Located in an area where you can enjoy good walking around Carcabury or the nearby Via Verde if you want something easier. Fernando was an excellent host showing a great respect for our privacy. Just a short walk along a well lit road is a bar and restaurant offering a good mix of food."

"All of our group loved our stay with everyone migrating to the pool area but there is much more to this property. The house is really interesting with lots of space to be together as a group of find your own area. Outside its great to have fresh running water which adds a lovely background noise as well as providing a pool to cool your wine at the BBQ area."

"Casa Holmes is in a lovely little village and is impeccably clean with a completely private fantastic large pool. Lots of thoughtful touches iwhich is in a little old authentic Spanish village house . Great aircon in all bedrooms! The only SLIGHT drawbacks are that the stairs are quite steep with the last two steps being higher than others - there is a baby gate but for tiny children maybe not totally suitable - there is a handrail however.
