"Location: Hotel is sited close to the Cathedral and the heart of the city. The only major drawback for some might be the lack of a car park although this did not affect me as I arrived by bus with a bus stop just a few yards away from the hotel. Room: My room although a little dark was well equipped and very quiet. The bathroom has rather dated with a deep bath and a shower that had to be hand held with no shower screen or curtain. Overall the room was very comfortable and I certainly had a good night’s sleep. Food/Drink: There is the offer of a very basic and limited continental breakfast or a good range of cooked breakfasts if you prefer. The hotel has an excellent range of craft beers and serves a range of evening meals. Staff: Very welcoming and helpful. Overall: If Wells is your destination I would certainly recommend staying here. "Stayed in a cottage as hotel rooms were not available. Very spacious and nice property, maybe a bit cold on arrival as heating system wasn't on the previous days. I would stay here again."
