"We had a fantastic stay in Carova! I have been visiting this part of the Outer Banks for 30 years and I was not disappointed on this trip! The house was great! No problems; no surprises. Trent is an excellent host! He loves Carova; he wants his guests to have an excellent visit and it shows! The kids will not soon forget the daily visits from the wild horses. Watching the sunset over the water was a wonderful way to end the day. We will be back next year!"

"Perfectly simple. Everything one might need for a beach getaway. Kitchen, living room, bedroom and bath all well appointed and comfy cozy. TV in living room has a great sound bar that served as a wonderful Bluetooth speaker, and another massive TV in the bedroom for lazing around if you catch a bit of bad weather. Great little deck out front with views to the North, East and South, and if you catch a clear night, the heavens above. Star-filled skies that will astound. "

"Our family of 4 enjoyed a quiet time in the outer banks at this lovely beach house. November isn't exactly the time most folks visit the beach, but we've spent most of our lives in the far north, so the "chilly weather" didn't prevent us from enjoying kayaking in the inner channels and viewing the sunset from the crow's nest. We found the kitchen very adequate; we were able to cook a lovely thanksgiving dinner and ate quite well the entire time. We packed all our needs/food for the weekend so we wouldn't have to make the drive back into town for anything. We did bring our bikes, but the soft sand proved too difficult for fun, so I would discourage anyone from bothering with hauling those out. The views from the deck were great and the glass doors allowed so much light in. The wild horses visited us directly on the property on our first night and on the morning of our departure. They were such an added bonus to the trip. The drive wasn't too difficult (in our 4x4 F150)- it's much easier if you can time your drive to be during low tide, however the on and off ramps to the beach are soft sandy dunes, so it can still get you into trouble if you stop in those areas. I really liked the remoteness of the property, my kids really enjoyed their own bedrooms, kayaks and the horses. My husband enjoyed the crow's nest the most, especially when our girls played their flute and clarinet at sunset. Overall, an excellent visit, my kids want to come out again when it's beach season!"

"The home was exactly as described. We stayed the second week of October 2024. We were looking for some quiet time and time to recharge our batteries. We really enjoyed watching the horses from the front porch. It was our first time driving out to Carova Beach and we're glad we followed all the suggestions we were given about airing down the tires and timing the tides. We recommend this home and will be back ourselves."

"Location was amazing, the house was great..lots of space, clean, and it had everything we needed. Communication with the owners was perfect…we’ve never stayed anywhere with better communication, definitely makes for a good vacation."

"I would have given it a one star review, but I'll have to admit; the new construction home is beautiful, right on the canal in beautiful secluded Carova Beach. The 4x4 beach was a 3 min drive away from the house. In the years I've been using VRBO, this is my first negative review. First, check in process was difficult. Check in time is 4:00pm, but Brindley Beach Vacations office is only open til 5:00pm. We didn't make it into Corolla until 6:00pm and there was no way of getting the welcome package and beach passes from their office. You would think that it could have been left in the home. Upon arrival, the dishes and silverware were absolutely filthy. The water coming out of the faucet smelled like boiled eggs. There is no water filter in the refrigerator but luckily we brought our own drinking water. No where on the listing did it mention that you need to bring bottled water. And once you're on Carova, the nearest grocery store is 45 mins away. It wasn't fun to shower or brush teeth. The internet didn't work. I notified the management company and they told me that they would put it in the work order (along with the dishwasher) but they never once came out. Even though the listing said that there's a Keurig, it didn't work. The electrical outlets in the kitchen were non functional. In the bunk room, one of the sheets had a blood stain on it. Although we absolutely loved the seclusion of Carova beach, we couldn't wait to get out of that house. "
