"The pub staff were very welcoming,the breakfasts were generous portions and very well cooked.we ate on both evenings and again the meals were very good. The owner who I think was called Laura was extremely helpful with local knowledge about the walking routes that are available and she even let us borrow a map. The area is beautiful and a walkers paradise. We will return to this Inn."

"We chose the G&C for an overnight stay after a day at Chatsworth House, due to its location and proximity to the house. The welcome was bright and warm, just like the rooms. The rooms were spacious and modern, well decorated and clean, with comfy beds and great facilities. Tea and coffee were good and the bathrooms were clean and tidy. We chose to take breakfast and dinner in the bar. The breakfast was lovely and set us up for our journey. The dinner the night before was a touch...

"Really great pub in fantastic location. Had a wonderful 2 night stay with my partner and dog. The room was big and had everything we needed. The only negative was the tv was a bit on the small side. They don’t do breakfast but there are plenty of options in the village or use their sister pub in Hope and get discount. (Best breakfast we had) We also ate at the restaurant in the evening and the food was delicious. 100% recommend staying here. "
