Le Petit Paradis

"We have just spent 3 nights at this fabulous property. The hosts were very kind and welcoming. They advised us on where to eat and even booked some restaurants for us as well as advising us on good places to visit in the vicinity. The property is beautifully renovated and incredibly stylishly presented but feels relaxed and comfortable. Our room really was lovely. The pool was great, indoor but opening out onto a large terrace area and the whole property was wonderfully clean. The property is...

Lo Gorissado - La Ferme du Glandier

8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (73)
"Our room was in amongst renovated farm buildings, rustic on the outside but nice and well appointed inside. There was a pool. It was set in wooded hills a few miles from Sarlat. Peaceful and beautiful. The reception and restaurant were in a seperate building a couple of kilometers away. Access was by a one way system of narrow roads. The setup was unusual but enjoyable. We ate outdoors every evening and the cuisine was great. We would go again if visiting this area."

Chambres d'hôtes de charme La Gabarie

9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (54)
"Wonderful hosts made us welcome and able to give lots of information about the area. Delicious breakfast, swimming pool and donkeys! The bedroom was comfortable with lovely views to the donkey enclosure. Clean, modern bathroom with small fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Air conditioning not effective unfortunately and outside cooking facilities require updating - lacking basic utensils and cleaning equipment- not a problem for a short stay but may be an issue for longer stays."

La Maison de Tari

9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (18)
"The Maison de Tari is a perfect place to stay for families looking to explore the area around Sarlat. We stayed in a family room with three small children and it suited us perfectly. All rooms had a separate outside sitting area with a large table. It had a good sized pool, a separate communal cooking and dining area, including a gas BBQ and a fridge. A great continental breakfast was provided that included fresh pastries from the local bakery, and a selection of local jams, cheeses and meats....

Les Hauts de Gageac Maison de Charme

10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (23)
"Lovely location near town, with delicious breakfast and comfy room! FYI, parking access is tricky, as steep, skinny, and sharp turns (not good for larger vehicles, be comfy reversing around curve, and try to arrive first time in daylight!), but instructions are clear. Just a heads-up! It’s not a reason to avoid as the guest experience is top notch!! "

"Our stay at La Chambre de Madel was a highlight of our trip to France. The setting is breathtaking and Nicole is a wonderful, beautiful soul. Aux Bories de Marquay

10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (6)
"Imagine two of your favourite friends opening a beautiful small hotel with perfect amenities in a memorable setting and that might begin to approach Aux Bories Marquay. Five stars do not do it justice. It is now my favourite vacation experience ever. The hosts are kind, gracious and thoughtful. Breakfast is perfect in every way. The memory of breakfast in the courtyard will sustain me through the cold Canadian winter. We look forward to returning next year. "

Nice house, ground floor, near the River Vézère, close to Eyzies and Bugue

7.6 out of 10, Good, (14)
"We have had a disappointing experience with this vacation rental. All four of us have suffered from bed bugs. We initially thought we were dealing with mosquitoes. But the bites got so big and painful that it wasn't until later that we realized we were dealing with bed bugs. We complained about this to the landlord afterwards and it seemed only reasonable to us that they would refund half as our holiday enjoyment was seriously ruined. We have not received any response from the landlords."
