"There was a problem with the door. When we first arrived the door was not locked and we could not close the door or lock it. The owner fixed the door right away but, the first night it still didn't close properly. After 2:00 a.m. someone walked by and pulled the door closed and hollered that our door was open. Even after that the door still popped open throughout the night. We figured out we had to push the door hard to get it to close. There was a deadbolt but it didn't work"

"First of all the pictures of the room is not what it actually looks like . We booked a 2 double beds when we got there we were told there wasn’t any . The bathroom had hair all over it there was bugs , spider webs . The sheets were stained . Room smelled like cigarettes. Couldn’t even stay there the night room didn’t even lock properly. Very disappointed with everything at that hotel . Won’t ever stay there or suggest it to someone in the future. "

"Such an amazing week. Thanks to Tanya, our attentive and helpful host, my two kids (and our lab!) and I enjoyed our time. The cottage is well appointed, clean, pet friendly, with rooms accommodate everyone and a gorgeous outdoor space. We took a polar bear swim (late october!) and we're all looking forward to enjoying the cottage and lake next summer. No question, this will be our go to cottage in the Kawartha's. Thanks, Tanya!"

"It was my husband’s 50th birthday and I surprised him with a weekend getaway with friends & family. The Bickle sisters were very hospitable and I was able to do an early check in to set up everything before coming back to the cottage with my husband.
