"Great location few mins walk to get to the dead centre. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice common areas - bar & lounge. Good room sound proofing - nextdoor had a baby and we couldnt hear them. Clean rooms - shampoo, shower gel & hairdryer provided. Reasonable size Good choice at breakfast (veggie & vegan options) with good later weekend times. Checkout at midday - handy for later flights. "

"We stayed twice, the second time for a week. The staff is friendly and competent. The location is great -- easy walk to most of the major sites, right on the harbor, near several bus lines, and the bus to the airport stops right next to the hotel. The location is convenient enough that we used it instead of public toilets (which can be difficult to find, and may be pay WCs). There is a grocery store and several eateries nearby, from fast and cheap to gourmet and pricey. The hotel serves a nice breakfast buffet with reasonable hours. The selection is quite good. Patrons with allergies, who avoid gluten, and vegans will find choices for them. In many Norwegian hotels, breakfast is included in the price of the room, but what is rare is that dinner and a late afternoon snack are also included here. The snack is usually just a small square of cake (although you can help yourself to more) plus coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. We skipped the snack more often than not, though. It was okay, but not particularly impressive, and we were usually out and about at that time. Dinner is meant to be light, but it was sufficiently satisfying for us. There are usually several different salads, a couple of hot entrees and sides, plus a soup. And if course, there's always great Norwegian bread. They change the entrees every night. The food was good, and it was convenient to have dinner available, plus it saves quite a bit of money. Americans should ask how the thermostat works -- it's different."
