"We got such a warm welcome when we arrived. The hotel is lovely- the opposite of most Scandinavian decor hotels which are all wood and minimalist. This was even more perfectly cozy and enveloping because it is winter. Our room was spacious and well lit. There was radiant heat in the bathroom so the floors were toasty. We had lunch here when we arrived and the fish soup was to die for. The hard cider was excellent too! The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Freddie was...

"Very narrow stairs"

"Great staff. Friendly and responsive! Rooms were very warm on the 3rd floor, so I had the heat off and an open window most of the week (in January!). The split mattresses were a but cumbersome and one side kept falling off the side of the bed....but they were comfortable. Breakfast was overall good but no fresh salmon (laks....which I love!) like other hotels, despite their location near the fjords. Overall, 9/10 experience. Thank you!!"

"Lovely view from balcony, room had a sofa as well as desk and Chair. Hotel was very grand and nice breakfast, although shame there isn't more options for vegan, as only had cows milk, eggs and pancake mix. Luckily enough fruit came out when I went back up for more bread. Room was poorly lit and was horrible buzzing from extractor fan /air conditioning unit from outside my room 117, wish I had asked for alternative room as really effected my sleep. "
