"This was a very quaint and welcoming property. The location was great, with easy walkable distance to shopping and grocery stores. The shower was a bit small and on the short side. The staff was friendly and helpful. All the appliances worked and there was parking for our car right infront of our room. We would definitely return if we come back to this area of NZ. "

"This is a lovely property in a prime location. All units have beachfront outlooks through the branches of an ancient pohutukawa. The managers were extremely hospitable and helpful. They even shared produce from their garden. The sheets and towels were high quality and the cleanliness was of a high standard. Would definitely recommend "

"I really liked the room. Huge bed. I appreciated the ranch slider with a deck looking out into the forest. Very beautiful It almost felt like I was in a different country. Although a little dated, the room was well appointed and very clean. The only down side for me was the light from outside, even with the blind down the room was quite light. That could be a real plus for some people. Great communication and I’d be really happy to stay again. "

"We needed a local room while building work was going at our place. This was local. Check in was friendly and we were offered a selection of rooms, which was nice. We needed somewhere quiet. Unfortunately someone later took the room next door and played music all night til 3am and the walls are pretty thin. The shower was good, decent kitchen, tidy overall. Bed was pretty tragic, so a rough nights sleep but not all the Lodge's fault. I would probably give them another try if I had to."
