"Thank you so much Bill, Emily & Lily!! We thoroughly enjoyed your beautiful, comfortable, unique, open air cottage! The breezes off the ocean and hillsides were lovely. We especially enjoyed the blast from the past by sipping our coffee while listening to 70’s lp’s on the retro turntable! The Bananaquits, frogs & geckos (?) were quite entertaining too! The proximity to Salt Pond Bay for swimming & snorkeling as well as near by restaurants made for a perfect spot to spend a few days on St. John...

"We loved our stay here. Very clean and spacious for a couple with an awesome view and the breeze was the icing on the cake. Our host allowed us to use their beach chairs which were brand new so we didn’t have to pay for rentals at the beaches. We also had access to a small carry cooler which came is great for snacks and water. We gave five stars to all and would definitely stay here again. "

Always available, and checked in during the frequent power outages that have been occurring throughout STT and STJ. "It was a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the main land. It was clean and quiet. The outside area was amazing. The outdoor pool area lighting was great, but pop the lights off for a few minutes to really take in the gorgeous night sky without the light pollution we have become accustomed to. It is breathtaking. "

"The property itself is impressive. Communication with the owner/property manager is fantastic, and I can't praise them enough. The only downside is that the roads to the property are very steep and narrow, but manageable."

"Overall the house was very lovely and close to Cruz Bay! We loved the beds and the view of the home. When we tried to find the house via Google maps, it was not the right spot. You need to ask your taxi driver to take you to Samuel Cottages. The check-in process was a bit difficult, but we had a helpful tax driver who didn’t leave until we got into the property. Thank you!"

"The place is small and there are a lot of stairs! But the views are stunning and there is everything you need for cooking basic meals, outdoor sunbathing, open air showers, and a very complete guide for things to do and places to go on the Coral Bay end of the island. The bedroom is a bit awkward with the bed up several uneven steps, but it's quite comfortable. Overall a great stay!"

"Tradewinds Cottage has everything you need for a St John vacation. Well equipped kitchen plus coolers and beach chairs for hitting some of the best beaches in the world. A deck with a fabulous view high above the ocean. Comfortable furniture inside and out. Neat and very clean. You may be on the “quiet” side of St John but there many bars and restaurants for those days when you want to eat out. The island is small so no attractions are very far away. "We loved this secluded, clean, cozy bungalow! Easy in and out, close to the beaches we love but private and quiet. Monika and Jorge were excellent hosts, right there to greet us, very attentive to our needs. The villa had everything we needed from a very functional kitchen, unbelievably beautiful views, beach toys, to a great bookshelf! We look forward to coming back!"

"Very clean and spacious, close walk to restaurants and supermarket if you're comfortable on a steep hill dodging some traffic. Make sure you rent a Jeep, a sedan won't make it into the parking spot."

"This was our third trip to St John, so we obviously love the island. And if you could create the absolutely perfect place for a couple to stay, Skyloft is that place. Killer view, fifteen minutes from all our favorite east side beaches and snorkeling spots and very comfortable. Skyloft is well-appointed and maximizes outdoor living space in a place where that’s exactly what we want to do! It’s just a gorgeous place. Reviews suffer from grade inflation. If it were allowed, this place is 6 stars!"

We loved our privacy and being away from the crowded resort/cruise ship scene. The location was also perfect, being close to beautiful beaches, restaurants, and shopping. We can't wait to return! "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our 5-night stay at Bluebeards. From the doorman to the gentleman at the front desk, they both assisted us with every and anything we needed and were extremely accommodating. We received complimentary room upgrade upon check in and the views were nothing short of spectacular. The bartenders at The castle grill were awesome. "Loved the property. Very clean and staff was extremely nice. This is close to everything. I do want to say, if are coming here- please respect the wild life on the island. Keep an EYE ON YOUR KIDS and have them do the same. "

"I thought it was great. I went a few times between 2008-2010. I thought the property was more enjoyable then, but more dining options were available and there wasn’t as much noise. I had a club oceanfront room. The view was great, but the golf cart transportation service was right below us. Gas powered and loud. Those are the negatives. Positives of the resort begin with the pool. I spent most of my time there. Great to hang out with and look out at the water in the infinity pool. I rented a cabana daily. Service was amazing. Poolside food was great. A cabana isn’t needed to enjoy the experience though. The restaurants were mostly being renovated, but the food available was expensive but good. The club food was good/convenient. Morning coffee overlooking the water is fantastic. There is a boating experience that picks you up right on the beach for a day trip to explore the islands. The price isn’t terrible for the Caribbean. I have read negative things about staff, but I did not have a single problem with them. I’ve experienced much worse at higher class hotels. I also read cleanliness issues. I noticed a little bit of wear and tear from weather, but nothing that is not expected. This is a Caribbean resort that experiences unpredictable weather. It is not easy to maintain to perfection. There were many activities on the island. Shopping and adventure activities. Keep in mind that they are mostly a 20-30 min ride each way, but easy and fair priced transportation is very easy."

"Place is good in the hood. Walking distance to everything in town. Put ac on and it’s all good. Older property but right at the mark in terms of price point. Good breakfast. And friendly staff. There are steps that you got to walk up. If you do not like that or cannot do that then look for a different place. Now! "
