"Great ski-in/ski-out location. Steps to the lift. Really good bar/restaurant in the building along with a convenience shop. Our condo had a brand-new kitchen and bath and comfortable bed. Parking is in a lot about a block or so away but that is typical for Taos. "

"Charming cabin on a beautiful and heartfelt property. The tiny goats, alpaca and donkey were so cute! Fresh tomatoes and basil from the yard, wood stove in our cabin and wood soaking tub were special treats. Highly recommend this stay to anyone. "

"My family and I really enjoyed our recent stay at Pioneer Lodge #4. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The room appeared to have been recently updated and they did a great job of adding modern amenities while retaining some rustic charm. We loved the location as it afforded easy access to the mountain and popular restaurants. It was nice to have the coffee shop on property and I loved having the door code rather than keeping up with a card or key. This room might be a little...

Sunshine paradise

"This house was just what we needed for a long weekend away from rainy Seattle. The house was so comfortable and perfectly situated on the property. Took advantage of the hiking trails down to the hot springs where we have ultimate privacy on a crisp fall morning. House had everything we needed for our stay. Beds were very comfortable and the decor was tasteful and functional and stylish. Hot tub under the stars was perfect, fire pit watching the moonrise, magical! Kitchen was adequately stocked and had everything needed. Our favorite part about the house was its secluded location, perfectly situated to feel like we were the only people around. Just what these city dwellers needed! Distance to town was about 15-20 min."

Amazing views

"This place has 360 views of the mountains and you can see Rio Grande Gorge from the bedroom! It’s quiet, private and peaceful. My favorite part was soaking in the hot tub as the sun went down and the moon light glistened on the snow of the mountain peaks! Wonderful place to relax. "

"I’ve been doing vrbo long enough to realize places like this are why I choose vrbo. It’s a private, curated, shared, personal space. The owner has chosen to share his special place, sure, to make money, but it’s a second home and there is some level of shared magic. He’s opting to say “here is a magical place.” So you feel like you’ve been granted anccess and the view is spectacular."

Remember Earthships are earthy not 5 star hotels

"We are very familiar with Earthships and love the earthy nature of the Dobson Earthship in Taos. The road to the 6,000 sq. ft. Earthship was dirt. warn and rutted by their recent torrential rains. Our all wheel drive was sufficient to navigate the several miles of dirt roads. The host, Brenda is wonderful and very knowledgeable about Michael Reynold's architecture. Lots of beautifully designed steps to climb so be prepared for the exercise. Not for the physically weak or impaired. You want a good taste of authentic Earthship life that can accommodate more than two if you take friends, the Dobson Earthship may be a good choice. "

Property needs some work on it

"Things that need fixing - 1) all the windows need screens on them with NO rips/tears AND ALL the windows need to be able to be opened (this is IMPERATIVE for a house that relies on ventilation for cooling), 2) the screen door needs to be operational WITH a screen to provide for ventilation, 3) for whatever reason the house is VERY noisy at night "
