"We enjoyed our stay in a typical kiwi bach. Everything we needed was there. The fridge/ freezer was not ideal as the freezer door did not close and was propped closed with a rock. Otherwise we we were very happy and had.a great short break"

"Great place , classic kiwi batch with a nice kitchen and dishwasher! which was a nice surprise. Well laid out , good shower , comfy lounge ,comfy beds, beautiful views of hillside and estuary. Good parking, nice neighbors. Advice you take your own big umbrellas for shade on deck. Can park a 6mtr boat on grass then 2 to 3 vehicle's. Only con would be no details on rubbish collection. "The cottage was beautiful with so much character, books and games, and lovely options for outdoor chill areas. We spent about half our trip relaxing at the cottage as it was so homey and welcoming. Shane was inviting and as a travel magazine author had great recommendations for the very quiet town. 10/10 hope to be back."

"Great size and love the decks and the view! Suggestions: Better beds in the sleep out! Particularly the bunk beds!!! The ladder fell and almost hit one of the kids who was sleeping in the double bed. Because it’s a sleep out, all of the beds should be a series of bunk beds instead of the two double and queen beds. It needs a fan too as it was very hot! The fridge is great in there. I would suggest glassware that is usable for 13 including proper water glasses that are not so small and more...
