"Beautiful heritage hotel in the center of Stone Town, close to many attractions. Room was super large and carefully decorated with local artifacts and furniture. I loved the breakfast on the rooftop with a 365 degree view of the city! Special call to the staff who was very friendly, attentive and who helped us organize a car transfer to our next destination."

"PLEASE BE AWARE. This place overbooks clients so when you arrive they say there is NO reservation under your name. Then they send you to another location of much lower quality. People at the new location confirmed that they do this all the time. It is not a mistake but rather a scam. I left that second location and was lucky to find a nice hotel nearby for the same price. I did get a refund but most people will probably stay where they are forced to stay due to lack of options and uncertainty. I...

"Though a little away from things and I somehow got lost every single time I set foot outside, I did enjoy staying here. The pool was delightful and the A/C was a lifesaver. Staff was very good and helpful (e.g. immediately dealt with a blown fuse when I told them about it), but it should be noted that I think they spoke less English than the property advertised (I REALLY should have used Google translate to explain what was going on with the previously mentioned blown fuse). "This is good property but would need extra care to bring it go to place. Our rooms were not ready upon check in due to electrical problems. The appliances in the kitchen are faulty and electrocutes when plugged in. Raised the issues but not addressed. The tv remote did not have batteries on checking in and it took more than 24 hours to get it working. The manager tried to charge extra 2 dollars per night per guest that was no where stated during booking or listed in the receipt. The staff...

"I stayed one night, next morning the smell of sewerage from the bathroom drain was horrendous. I left the hotel immediately . The stairs to the top floors are steep & dangerous . Not a pleasant experience ."

"Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist unschlagbar. Das Hotel ist einfach aber sauber und liebevoll gestaltet. Das Personal ist ist sehr freundlich und hilsbereit und stehen einem mit Rat und Tat jund Service ederzeit zur Seite. Die Lage ist toll. Vom Hotelrestaurant blickt man direkt in eine schöne kleine Gasse mit bunten Geschäften und aufs Meer. Nur 100 Meter und man steht schon am Strand. "I stayed here one night after landing in stone town. Perfect spot to nap on and off to get through the jet lag and be right in the heart of stone town. Extremely walkable to sites. The rooms are spacious, excellent shower and super comfy bed. Very clean and was just what I was looking for. Please note that it was a bit difficult to find. The taxi just dropped me off on the main road because cars can’t access the small streets. Once you know where it is, it’s super simple to return to"

"Good service, nice spartment, great pool area, delicious restaurant, close to the beach and a good place for your vacation. But no Wifi inside the apartment and overall very bad connection. Could be a little bit cheaper in our opinion. Supermarket and ATM is a little far to walk."

"On site staff was amazing; owner and property manager not so much Owner had stated she was not on site - which we knew, however the basics weren't provided ( we checked in and left for the day; came back at night and still had no towels; toilet paper or soap) The reason for my disappointment is; basic services that I paid for were not met – such as: breakfast was sub par until the last day. Good - and not so good

"+ The hotel is placed in the middle of everything, the room was nice and had lots of space and a great balcony. The madrass were very good and aircon/fan was working around the clock, so the room was always in temperature. All the pools were perfect. - I would have loved to know - in advance- that my room was placed in another building, as I travel alone. At breakfast my table were cleaned (even for food) and my table given to someone else when I was getting a refill. The breakfast were good, but food "a la carte" was no good"
