"A wonderful place with brilliant views, surrounded by ample countryside. Gwyneth was the best host one could ask for, very friendly and helpful throughout my stay and indeed for both settling in and heading out. The place was lovely to stay in, featuring every utility you could desire, and felt very welcoming and comfortable as almost a home away from home. My only wish is that I could have stayed longer! For any undecided, The Brown Hen is definitely worth a stay. "

"We loved this home for the moments we saw it online. Then when we met David, he was very helpful with everything in the home, but also had maps out for Ireland. My family did get sick during our visit and David was on it! I followed him i to town to get medicine for my son and husband. "We stayed for a week and highly recommended this place. Its a lovely set-up with a furnace as well as a small conservatory. The location was perfect for reaching multiple destinations from Cork to Kilareny both being about an hour in either direction. The local town has a rich history and is full of shops, pubs, and grocery stores. The hosts were very pleasant and offered useful suggestions and shared some great stories. Would definitely stay again. "

"This property was perfect! We were a group of 5, so we utilized the apart hotel. It was spacious and clean, allowed us to have communal space and private sleeping. Dining at the restaurant was fantastic. Jason was our server and he was amazing. Food was great, only a short 10 min walk to the Muckross Abbey and a breath taking lake. Hotel views bolstered mountains in the morning. Wonderful staff, we did not have time to utilize the spa but it looked beautiful. "
