What a great hotel! This property is a great location for your Killarney stay. It sits along a peaceful lake, and is walking distance to the Killarney National Park. The park has miles of fantastic trails to explore.
Upon checkin, the staff was friendly and helpful. From the outside, the hotel looks kind of bland. However, once you enter, it is gorgeous inside the coming areas. It looks like a luxury B&B everywhere you look. There are plenty of sitting areas with comfortable chairs and fireplaces.
They had a fantastic piano player in one of the rooms, which made for a great evening relaxing with a glass of whiskey we got at the bar. Speaking of this, you will pay a bit more than at a bar in town, but it is a great bar and friendly bartenders.
The restaurant was very nice and had a great lake view. The employees were friendly and professional, and you can tell they have an excellent training program.
The food was good, but I wouldn’t say it was excellent. This goes for both dinner and the breakfast buffet. Again, nothing to complain about, but nothing to rave about either.
The rooms sort of matched the exterior. They were a basic room, nothing fancy or special, however the lake view was very nice. The bed was a bit hard and it had the smallest shower, but did have amazing water pressure, like fire hose strong! The room was clean and large, it just didn’t match the rest of the hotel interior.
As a whole, we would definitely stay here again without hesitation.
