"Kitchen was well stocked, but bring extra trash bags. Only 2 hand towels provided. Extra Pillows available, but no pillow cases. We brought extra blankets, thankfully. While preparing Thanksgiving meal, lost electricity 3 times, 2 hours, 30 minutes, 20 minutes. Took some investigating to get updates on the power outages. Setting and outdoor amenities were great. Be prepared for the very steep driveway. "

"Our family had never been to Smith Mountain Lake VA and chose to come last minute because our planned trip to the NC mountains was canceled due to the hurricane. This house was PERFECT for our multi generational family from age 2 to 81! The bedrooms and bathrooms are beautiful and so very comfortable. "This is a lovely house and property on Witcher Creek. The backyard leads down to the dock and fishing there is so much fun! The house is very well kept and offers enough space for multigenerational families. You can see deer from the kitchen sink and at night there are so many stars! Some shooting stars too! "It was a great vacation in a wonderful location with beautiful views. The only thing that was a bummer was that the primary bedroom toilet wouldn’t flush even toilet paper. It was out of commission for our whole stay. We were given the option to have a plumber come on the 4th of July, but we declined since we wanted to get out on the water and not wait around.
