Given its age the hotel has been maintained to a very high standard and oozes old world charm. The staff are all very helpful and the food is excellent - try the Lao omelette for breakfast."

"Located right on the river, this hotel has excellent views and easy access to shops and restaurants. The breakfast was phenomenal and the setting was very scenic. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Now, not all reviews can be perfect so if I had one complaint, it would be that the water pressure in the shower could be slightly better, but as it was, it was fine."

"Great heritage buildings in normally good location. Staff very good. But major works on the river are noisy and the traffic and noise around 530 am for monks alms is considerable. Rooms need facilities upgrading but tough in heritage site. We did enjoy the hotel and things of issue beyond their control mainly."
