The current renovations did lend to a less-than-ideal level of cleanliness and noise, and the buildings are definitely in need of them. The walk to the island from there is flat and easy if you enjoy walking or you can take the free shuttle bus which stops right outside. Our room was spacious and comfortable and we had a wonderful view across the fields to Mont Saint Michel. "
