"STAY AWAY. This is by the far one of the worst stays I've ever had in all of my times traveling around the world. The listing stated their was a front desk with limited hours and a full Irish breakfast. When I called the number listed on the Expedia listing (which is a woman's personal cell phone), I asked about the breakfast and was blatantly lied to. I was told "We haven't had breakfast since COVID." The reviews on Expedia and Google show this is simply untrue. They were still serving...

"Good location, shame about everything else. Check in was perfunctory, as was service at breakfast. No hospitality at all. Room was the smallest I have ever seen, like sleeping in a caravan. Beds short, my feet were sticking out and I am 5'6", not very tall! No shelf or surface in bathroom for toiletries/make up. Very clean apart from finding an item of clothing left under the bed by a previous guest. This is an expensive guesthouse and we were overcharged on checkout, only by a couple of euro...

"What a great stay! My daughters said it was the best place we stayed on our whole trip, and wish we stayed longer. We loved the remote location and beautiful setting. It is just a short walk past fields of grazing sheep and cows to Carrowinsky Strand, which is a stunning beach. The owner provided a packet with helpful information in nearby Louisburgh. "Attractive home with very comfortable furnishings. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, dishes, etc. We loved the sizes of the rooms and living areas. One improvement would be to provide an automatic drip or percolator coffee maker to complement the French press and providing small amenities such as shampoo. A walk into the very small town required navigating unfamiliar narrow country roads potentially in darkness depending on time of day."
